Why is UA Star certification necessary for MSCA Star certification? UA Star is the only HVAC/R technician certification program that is ANSI-accredited and ISO 9000 certified. UA STAR-certified technicians must truly be the best of the best, which is why to date only 90 companies in the United States have achieved the goal of 25% workforce certification necessary to achieve MSCA STAR certification.
